CO2 Laser Resurfacing
C02 laser resurfacing is one of the most common and most effective methods used for the treatment of wrinkles, for tightening skin especially under the eyes, and for improving acne scars. This treatment is an ablative procedure which vaporizes superficial damaged skin cells and stimulates your body's own collagen. The laser laser also causes contraction of collagen effecting the desired tightening of the skin. This collagen contraction and tightening is seen immediately. C02 laser is designed to remove sun damage, remove wrinkles, reduce acne scarring, and improve overall texture. The recovery for this treatment is 1-2 weeks during which time you will be advised to stay out of the sun and do the appropriate after care. The best candidates for this procedure are those individuals with fair skin and lots of wrinkles! This procedure is performed under twilight sedation hence making the recovery process much easier. With the arrival of Equinox fractional CO2 laser the healing time is diminished and the risks of the procedure are minimized. The procedure is done in the office, reducing risks and costs.
